Kim Severson, as an international competitor and Olympic Silver medallist, is one of the top event riders in the world. She has been described as one of the most prolific riders in the United States and was named the U.S. Eventing Association's Lady Rider of the Year in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005. In the fall of 2007, after 11 wonderful years at Plain Dealing Farm, Kim took the next step in her career and has ventured out on her own. She established her own business, Kim Severson Eventing, LLC. where she operates out of Paragon Equestrian Centre, Palmyra, Virginia. Kim continues to ride and compete a barn full of potential superstars. Kim is bringing some exciting young horses along and is currently competing on: Tipperary Liadhnan, an Irish Draft owned by Friends of Kim Severson, who placed 5th at the 2008 Rolex CCI****, Queen Wannabee, a Thoroughbred owned by Jane Dudinsky, Wiley Post, a Thoroughbred owned by Shaws Fork LLC. Kim is also bringing along her own horses, Fantasy Impromptu (Chopin), a Hanovarian owned by Jackie Severson, and Sonic Solutions (Punchy), a Thoroughbred owned by Kim.
